چکیده

Optical nanocavity provides an opportunity to deeply study the light–matter interaction with notable findings such as Rabi splitting in strong coupling and Fano resonance weak coupling. Here, we theocratically explore plexcitons of a bilayer (BL) borophene synthesized on Ag (1 1 1) film tip-enhanced Raman scattering (TERS) system, where BL is located between tip substrate, stimulated by recent experimental synthesis [Liu et al., Nat. Mater. 21, 35 (2022)]. In strong-coupling region, negative real part dielectric function manifests; plasmonic properties resulting 310 meV. weak-coupling spectra show typical asymmetry sharp change dip peak (Fano resonance). A balanced gain loss facilitates single-mode lasing parity-time symmetry-broken regime, very narrow half-width ultrahigh enhancement factor up 108. Fano-resonant propagating are observed resonance, which extremely sensitive excitation wavelength. Our results not only deepen physical understanding plasmon–exciton TERS system but also provide way manipulate system.

Modelling plexcitons of periodic gold nanorod arrays with molecular components.

Plasmonic or exciton/plasmon (plexcitonic) systems are presently described based on electromagnetic models, ignoring the need for an improved microscopic understanding. This is based on the fact that a full quantum mechanical approach on a micrometer scale still represents a considerable challenge. In this paper we report on the experimental observation of plexcitons in 2D gold nanorod array sy...

Ultra hybrid plasmonics: strong coupling of plexcitons with plasmon polaritons.

We report a ternary-coupled plasmonic system consisting of excitons of J-aggregated dye, localized surface plasmon polaritons of Ag nanoparticles, and propagating surface plasmon polaritons of continuous Ag film. J-aggregate dyes are uniformly self-assembled on colloidally synthesized Ag nanoprisms forming plexcitonic nanoparticles, which are placed at a distance nanometers away from the Ag thi...

Observation of selective plasmon-exciton coupling in nonradiative energy transfer: donor-selective versus acceptor-selective plexcitons.

We report selectively plasmon-mediated nonradiative energy transfer between quantum dot (QD) emitters interacting with each other via Förster-type resonance energy transfer (FRET) under controlled plasmon coupling either to only the donor QDs (i.e., donor-selective) or to only the acceptor QDs (i.e., acceptor-selective). Using layer-by-layer assembled colloidal QD nanocrystal solids with metal ...

Mode Coupling and Intersubband Transition Rabi Splitting in Microcavities

We theoretically study the absorption in grating coupled quantum wells in a cavity. We describe the coupling between the three oscillators present in the structure: the intersubband transition, the grating and cavity modes. We show that optical mode anticrossings should be observed. The splitting between the cavity mode and the intersubband transition is calculated but its experimental observat...

Plexciton Dirac points and topological modes

Plexcitons are polaritonic modes that result from the strong coupling between excitons and plasmons. Here, we consider plexcitons emerging from the interaction of excitons in an organic molecular layer with surface plasmons in a metallic film. We predict the emergence of Dirac cones in the two-dimensional band-structure of plexcitons due to the inherent alignment of the excitonic transitions in...
